The terms "psychic" and "spiritual" are sometimes used as though they had the same meaning. Actually they are quite different and represent two vital parts of the growth path. The psychic energies are those energies which provide us with survival tools in the material world. The psychic force is the product of the interaction and interdependence of the physical body, the emotions and the intellect. The spiritual (or intuitive) energies are those energies which provide us the growth tools to become a greater and more perfect version of who we are in our essence. The spiritual force is the product of the interaction and interdependence of the life body, the feelings and the mentality.
The physical body is the material counterpart of the life body. The physical body acts as a vehicle in which we may remain in the material world. It is a temporary housing for the manifestation of our personal energy which is referred to as the personality. The life body is the spiritual counterpart of the physical body. The life body acts as a vehicle in which our spiritual essence can remain in contact with the material world. The life body acts something like a combination of a transformer and an interpreter which allows spiritual consciousness to manifest in the material world, while allowing the growth experiences of the material world to be recorded in the spiritual realm.
The emotions are part of the psychic force which is intimately intertwined with the physical body. The purpose of the emotions is to provide energy (emotive force) to our intellect in the form of reactions and instincts that help us survive in the physical world. Our instinct for survival is a product of the emotions. The feelings are the spiritual counterpart of the emotions. They are a part of the spiritual (intuitive) force and are intimately intertwined with the life body. The purpose of the feelings is to provide the energy that moves us toward growth. Our conscience is a product of the feelings.
The intellect is part of the psychic force and is directly associated with the physical body and the physical world. The purpose of the intellect is to direct and channel the psychic force through acts of decision and intention. Our abilities to choose options and come to conclusions is based in the intellect. The mentality (or mental faculty) is the spiritual counterpart of the intellect and is directly associated with the life body and the spiritual world. The function of the mentality is to focus and direct the force of consciousness of the feelings towards the proper channels which will bring about our spiritual evolution. That which we call inspiration, or sudden insight is the mentality at work.
Our physical body allows us to exist
in the material world while our life body allows us to be connected
to the spiritual world. Our emotions provide the force to motivate
us and to help us survive in the physical world while the feelings
provide the force to move us towards personal growth. Our intellect
allows us to direct and focus our emotions while the mentality
provides us with the template of our perfected spiritual existence.
Where we put our attention determines how our personal energy
is going to be used. If we put our attention on the physical and
material world, our personal energy will be used to increase our
interaction with the physical and material world. If we put our
attention on the spiritual world, our personal energy will be
used to increase our interaction with the spiritual world.
